I was wondering about Brookwood one.
1 how many non yidden live there avg on a block?
2 is it worth buying an old house and redoing it or buying a house that a yid renovated the kitchen and bathrooms before you?
3 Do they clean up after their dogs or its like in Brooklyn that you have to watch your step?
4 how much on avg is it to renovate a non yids house (those that cost like $320-$360k )-like new kitchen and 3 bathrooms, scrape and paint?
5 is it more expensive to rent in jackson then to buy?

Many houses that are redone are done with garbage - cheap everything. And the light fixture are often just for staging.
One person in the business told me it’s like putting lipstick on a pig.

How much is to scrape and paint and renovation for bathrooms and kitchen roughly?

My sister lives in Brookwood 1. They live on a block with quite a few frum families - I would think at least 10 or so. The neighborhood looks clean and nice.
IIRC she redid her kitchen for about 13K.
Her husband is handy, so they did alot of the other improvements themselves (paint, light fixtures, etc..)

your best best bet is to get a contractor into a house and give you an estimate.....then you can decide how worth it is to buy an old in need of work house.
we did that to our house but for the price we paid and the money we needed to put in, the cost made sense.
