Theres another recipe I have but never made it because it does use consume soup powder.
Did taste it once and it was really good.
Onion Soup
6-8 onions diced about 5-6 cups
Olive oil for sautéing
Old stale challah cubed enough to make 3 cups
Water
Consume
In a big stock pot
Sauté onions until they get soft and start to carmalize a little bit not too much color.
Add water and consume.
Bring to a boil and lower the fire to simmer for about 1/2-3/4 hour.
Add bread, Yes, straight into the soup.
Cook for another 1/2 hr.
The bread will dissolve and make it all yummy.

I add a can of chickpeas and it’s delicious and smooth and creamy

I made it only once. Perhaps I would try to add another parsnip instead of the potato.

What’s parsley? Parsley root?

So sorry, it actually calls for 1 PARSNIP. I always confuse the two.. I corrected the original post that states the recipe.
