I love this serial. So much suspense. Love the 'kosher' romance. but Etka gitel PLEASE dont draw it out too much. I dont know if I can ever forgive you for Gella's 6 week long labor! LOLL

Hi, I signed up for this site just to be able to respond to this thread. I love this story "THE HAPPINESS CIPHER" and every other one from Etka Gitel. I think she's a total genius at writing! I continued my Binah subsscription jut for this serial.

Please can you end the crazy suspense. Every week I wait for something to finally crack in the story. It's endless! Thank you.

P.S. Where can I buy or borrow the book "Shortchanged"? I live in BP.

I wonder if Gella Rvorsky's father in law is an uncle of Srul and Leiby?
Perhaps Leiby suggested his cousin make the trek because of the success of Sam and Gella Rvorsky's long distance shidduch Smile

Yes, they're cousins! Uncle Duvid (David) Rvorsky was in a scene with his two young sons (Sam&Ben) talking to Leo's mom after his father passed away. This was many chapters ago. Am I the only one who remembers this? Full Harvest takes place in the early 1900's
so now, during The Happiness Cipher, Gella is not yet in America. So Leo could not have made the suggestion based on that shidduch's success. But Scotty certainly has a thing for mail-order brides. Very Happy

I completely missed that scene!
But I don't recall that Gella's father in law was Duvid... wasn't it Abraham? Or was that a one time error or something - I seem to remember that EGS wrote about a blooper where both the father and the baby got called Abraham at different points?

I contacted Israel Book Shop and this was their response:
Hi, it is out of stock for a while...there is plans to reprint but it'll
probably still be a while, as the author wants to make some corrections.
