Please help... I’m a concerned mother with an 8th grade son who is applying to this mesivta.
Does anyone know what type of boys go there?
Is it yeshivish, modern...? Are there problematic boys there?
Any information is helpful!

Are you talking about ohr simcha? I know a little about it since my boss was looking at yeshivas for his son last year and he would tell me all about it lol. I think its known for being very warm. Caters to average students. I guess they are called beis bochruim. He liked it alot but was not thrilled with the secular studies. Maybe someone else can add more?

Yes! That’s the place I’m talking about!
The little bit you wrote actually sounds right for my ds. Warm place, average learner...
thanks!

If you change your title to say the same of the yeshiva you may get more responses. Also I am pretty sure they have a website.

Maybe I’ll start a new thread. I can’t change the title since I was just bumping someone’s old thread. Thanks

Did you look into this Yeshiva? Do they take transfers? What kind of boys are there? Is it an American yeshiva or more a little more yeshivish ? I’ve heard such mixed opinions, it’s more geared for boys who aren’t interested in learning.
