With kids age 3 and 5. Want to go Sunday and Monday of their midwinter break. Was thinking Lancaster but it’s so far. Any other ideas?

Philadelphia
Baltimore
Washington DC
Cherry hill and Delaware both have smaller reasanably priced children museum.
Philadelphia is more money but better.
In Philly you could do children’s museum and aquarium and have a really nice trip.

If Lancaster's too far, then Philly's probably your best bet - Franklin Institute, Eastern State Penitentiary (for older kids), mint (free), Camden Aquarium on NJ side. Can stay in Cherry Hill for cheaper hotels, kosher restaurants, and easy minyan options.

Crayola isn’t that close to Lancaster. Don’t remember how far but it’s a drive.

Lancaster is great for little kids, but Dutch Wonderland and Cherry Crest Farm are closed in the winter. Crayola Factory is much closer to NJ. In Philly, Franklin Institute is great for kids, as is the mint (free), maybe Betsy Ross House if they like history. There's also the zoo if you don't mind being outdoors and walking.
There are kosher restaurants in Philly, but not so many choices near the touristy area. Cherry Hill has a few options that you can pick up and bring with you. There's also Coco Key and Sahara Sam's in NJ near Cherry Hill.

It’s the same as Lancaster. Baltimore can be under 3 hours on a good day.
If going to crayola just stay in Allentown. I don’t think it was so far.
There are caverns nearby that are the same temp underground all year long.
