I almost never make cholent, but at a kid's request, I'm going to try it this week.

I need a RECIPE.

I don't want to be mean, but "a handful of beans" or "a squirt of ketchup" or "however much barley you like" isn't going to do it for me. I don't know what those mean.

Using a crockpot.

we use this. https://oukosher.org/recipes/s.....meat/ (hold the cajun spice, this version is missing the instruction to soak beans overnight.). Always great. (Doesn't look like the picture).

Three handfuls of navy beans
Two handfuls of barley
Half a plastic cup oil
Small onion chopped
Tbsp Osem soup mix
Two tsp paprika
Two tsp salt
One tsp garlic powder
One tso onion powder
Dash of black pepper and dash sugar
Add Flanken or marrow bones or whatever meat you want
Cover with water. Mix periodically

Half a bag beans, soaked
Onion, sauteed
add meat to it and spices-
T salt
Dash pepper
3 T paprika
then add beans and 1 potato, chopped. Add water to cover and cook.

Chunk of meat. About 1 cup beans and about 1 cup barley. 3 to 4 potatoes. 1 packet onion soup mix. Onion If u like. Water to cover.
