We are planning on traveling to Israel with the family for the first time, and don't even know where to start regarding tours, where to go, ...etc. (age range is 6-16)
We are wondering if there is some sort of service that provides transportation (private van) and a tour guide?
Or, if we rent a van, and then hire a private tour guide?
Or is it better to join a large scale tour? Do they even cater to families with young children?
Are there any discounts or more reasonable ways of getting around, eating out, ...etc.?
really, ANY advice would be GREATLY appreciated from those who've been there, done that
Thank You!!!!

Tour guides are very expensive here, esp one who doubles as a personal driver.
Within major cities, use public transportation.
I'd recommend renting a car for travelling between cities, at least if you want to sightsee along the way.
What do you want to see?
How many are you?
What time of year?

Children have bNever been there before, so all he major things... Nothing that we can do here in America things that can only be done/ssen in Israel... religious biblical stuff would be amazing so my kids can see places that they've only learned about, would like it to be meaningful but fun at the same time
