He's not wrong. B'H we have access to many wonderful fresh fruits and new fruits.

If your family really likes dried fruits or roll-ups, it's worth the investment to buy a good quality dehydrator. (Don't waste your money on a cheap one, you'll just end up throwing it out.)

Some of these dangerous additives are also in grape juice like pesticides and sulfur dioxide. I don’t see any dangerous warning against them. And yes we drink them too not only Shabbos
