What is the best way to remove facial hair? Mine has gotten worse lately, hormonal changes probably, and I need to do more than just pluck. Please share your experiences.

I have hormonal hair and using electrolysis successfully.
Keep laser away from the face if can sometimes mess things up.

I get good results from electrolysis.
It is costly and takes a lot of time.
Never did laser treatments, so I can’t compare.
Also, laser doesn’t work effectively on all hair colorings.

I have hormonal hair on my chin and sideburns. I shave every day. I did electrolysis for a year and it did literally nothing. I never tried laser because I heard that each time you get pregnant it undoes all the work you did.

I also need to take off side burns and very low hairline on sides of forehead. Hair is almost all White with some gray and black. I was thinking electrolysis but I’m told it’s time consuming (2-3 times a week for many months before it gets less) and will end up expensive. What are the pros and cons of laser

I use an epilator twice a week. Take 3 minutes, no appointments necessary.

I have heavy peach fuzz hair all over my face but its not thick hormonal hair except for above my lip and on my chin. My skin reacts very badly to threading and wax, except in those hormonal areas so I needed a solution for all thr dark peach fuzz.
I did laser when I was 17, and it was ok, though the hair was not all gone by the time my budget was (2000). The benefit was that it desensitized my face and I went on to use either threading or an epilady for the next 5 years. Then I started reacting badly again, so I did 2 sessions of laser, then stopped because of pregnancy.
Out of desperation, I continued shaving thr peach fuzz the same way I did between laser sessions. I've been doing this now for over 7 years and I've had no adverse effects. I dont grow a beard, I haven't ruined my skin (quite the contrary, its excellent exfoliation. Look up dermaplaning.), and I don't have a stubble, and my hair isnt heavier, thicker, or darker (because something you do on the surface can't affect the genetics of your hair).

In short, if it's not thick, hormonal hairs, try shaving.

Really depends what kind of hair you are trying to remove. Blond hair doesn't work as well with laser. I did laser on my lower legs and it worked great but didn't work on my upper legs because I am blond. I used electrolysis for my face that worked well.

I personally use at home wax strips. They are super easy and take 1 min every 4-6 weeks. I’ve also found my hair to grow in lighter since I started.

Laser treatment should not be used for hormonal facial hair. It will get worse.

I'm light Auburn and did laser on hairline. Was successful in only 3 treatments. It's gone for years already bh. Depends who does it, with kind of machines used.
Electrolysis kills.
Tip: Laser hurts for a few seconds but you can apply EMLA (numbing cream from pharmacy) an hour before laser, cover with saran wrap. You won't feel the pain.

I don't have much facial hair but I do sometimes shave my upper lip when it gets too visible. I also have a few long, dark, wiry hairs sprouting on my chin, cheek and throat. Usually I just rip them out with pincers. I wouldn't use chemicals and don't have the time and money for any laser or other treatments.
