A speech therapist I had for a different child a while back told me not to let the kids drink from cups they need to tilt back and suck with the exception of the 360 cup. She was a fan on straws but my kids love to lay on the couch a chill with their cups and straws only work upright . Either way looking for something new to send with my 2 year old. Apparently she takes apart her 360 cup and spills it or throws it across the room and the top pops off but she told me to please leave her 360 cup at home.

Why don't you get a straw cup just for the babysitter and use the others at home?

I only bought my kids straw sippy cups. If this is all they have they'll figure it out and after a few days they get used to it.

This one has a weighted straw so it can be used laying down:

Thanks you everyone ! The reason I want something she can lay down with is because she puts her in to nap with water and she doesnt have a pacifier or stuffed animal so the sippy brings her some sort of comfort.

Avent makes a cup with a curved straw that they can drink from laying down without being difficult to suck from like a weighted straw. My daughter loves it.

Sorry ladies, I know I’ll get bashed here...
Why be mean and force kid to drink from a cup he doesn’t like??

Give him a bottle for relaxing.. yes, a baby bottle.
Use sippy cups when going out.
Pour drinks for child at home in a regular cup.

Sorry, I’m a big believer in bottles or sippy cups that come close.
The kid doesn’t nurse, use a pacifier.,, it’s the only comfort he has. Don’t worry, eventually all kids give up bottles!

my kid likes the 360 just fine. I happen to use regular sippy cups as well.

I never gave formula so never gave a bottle. I weaned to a sippy cup.

My baby ditched pacis on his own at 9-10 mo.
Bottles are awful for the teeth that's why I would discourage it.

Pacifiers are not good for teeth either.. yet it didn’t seem to stop you

I don't know why your sitter is assuming your toddler won't just open up any other cup instead...
