Fleishig soup

I never make fleishig soup, except for chicken (and chili, if that counts). But it's COLD COLD COLD here, and I feel as if a hearty one dish soup would be nice. No cubes etc. Thanks!

I love how that sounds but I don't have flanken in the house and am not willing to go out more than 2 blocks. Do you think beef stew (chuck) would work?

I use beef bones. They add a lot of flavor but they need to cook 4 or more hours. Saute onion, garlic, celery optional. Add bones, some barley, water, bay leaf, salt, pepper.

I like to do any soup my family likes, Add in net bag whatever meat or chicken I have on hand. Cook for like 3 hours take out bag blend soup, put meat/chicken back into soup shredded or chunks.

U can also add beans or barley to soup for more thickness.

I sautee onions carrots cubed beef, add some crushed tomatoes, season, add water and boil then simmer for at least an hour. From there you can add in barley or orzo or whatever addins your family likes. I love this soup on a cold day.
