Hi all! I hope those that live in North Miami beach can help me out !
My husband just got a job offer in NMB. We are trying to figure what the average cost of living is there for a family of 4 (2 kids 2 adults. ) Of course every family is different and needs are different but I'm talking about a general amount - housing tuition groceries etc.
thanks in advance !

It's very hard to give an answer because a lot depends on your own standards. Go on Zillow and look at housing prices. Tuition is about $13k in elementary without a discount, less for preschool. If your income is very low, you'll be eligible for a private voucher/ scholarship from outside the school. Otherwise it's up to the school how much of a discount you'll get if you apply for one. Groceries cost more for kosher than the tri state area, but are priced well for anything you buy in a regular chain. So it depends how much you rely on meat/ chicken/ cheese or chalav yisrael.

Keep in mind that housing is pricey and the houses are small. A 3 bedroom ranch (no basements in Florida) can cost between 400k and 500k in the frum neighborhood.

I live in NMB. The info mentioned above is pretty accurate.
Kosher food is definitely more expensive than “in town” because it’s shipped down to us. There is a Costco here with well priced kosher chicken/meat/cheeses. Fruit and vegetables can be bought in Walmart, Publix, or Aldi.
Houses go for about 400-500k in the Frum area, and you are getting one floor 3-4 bedroom.
One thing I do save on is kids clothing, no need to buy clothes for new seasons. I just buy as they outgrow.
The community itself is very warm and welcoming! Good luck!
