DH and I both work hard and earn more than expenses.
Some months we save more than others.
For months I’ve wanted to start ‘budgeting’
I tried writing down everything I spent, I kept forgetting...
It’s all on the bank statements so we can work out our spending.
DH has no interest in working it all out- he says we buy what we need and the rest we save.
The control freak in me wants the numbers.
DH says the minor savings we can make are not worth the bother.
I wouldn’t even know what to stop buying.
Would love all opinions and helpful advice.

Why do you need his input? Sit down and crunch all the numbers yourself. I think it's good to know how much you're spending in each category even if you aren't looking to cut back on spending right now.
