Any recommendations for active activities? Like skating or tubing or other sports? And, what about arcades or other indoor activities? Or rock climbing?
Thanks!

There's no tubing anywhere near Philly. It's up in the Poconos. There's an indoor trampoline place near Mt. Laurel, and a couple of indoor water parks there - Coco Key and Sahara Sam's Oasis. I believe I once found rock climbing there as well, but we didn't end up going there. I imagine there's also skating, and likely a Dave and Busters in the area, Google is your friend.

There is ice skating on Penn's Landing, and a rock climbing place also near the waterfront.

As to snow tubing, Philadelphia is a major city. If you wouldn't expect to find it in the middle of Manhattan, don't expect to find it in Philadelphia.

There is the Benjamin Franklin museum, and ceramic painting.
Google... I'm sure you can find more stuff to do in the area.

Oops.. just realized you asked for active activities. Disregard this post, then.

If you go during the summer time, it's not far to places that have Kayaking on the Delaware.

For teens, I'd go with Eastern State Penitentiary, maybe the Mutter Museum (I once attended a dinner there -- yech). But not active.
