Located OOT, but that shouldn't matter since we send our child out of our city anyway and we're looking for advice that doesn't necessarily have to do with where we live

What is the age of this child? I have someone that I would trust but he is really specialized with ages 6-10.

Sorry. I don’t think my contact would be helpful.
I hope someone else here can help.

Rabbi Shaya Cohen in Far Rockaway. He's a master but I don't know if he's the type that random people call. He's super nice and a real mentsch though so if you call I'm sure he can help you.

If your question is finding the right mesivta for him, there's an expert in Lakewood named Rabbi Binyomin Strauss who knows every high school imaginable and specializes in meeting with boys and their parents and then guiding them to the right yeshiva for them.

OP, if this is indeed the question, take back what I said. Although I'm sure Rabbi Shaya Cohen is knowledgable in this area as well, not too many people know as much about yeshivas as Rabbi Binyomin Strauss.

Rabbi Binyomin Strauss - 732-370-2874 - he's extremely busy and hard to get ahold of. He almost never answers his phone, so you have to leave a message and be respectfully persistent in following up to get through and get an appointment.
