I might have to keep my "medium wood" cabinets but I am replacing my counter and flooring. The backsplash is undecided.

I don't like counters with any yellow or brown in them, but they do need to rest on the wood cabinets, so I don't know how to match them.

If my counters are white/black/little grey and my backsplash is either all white tile or white/grey/silver mosaic (not sure which) and my floor is grey, could I do that with the wood cabinets? Or would it not match?
Does the floor and counter and backsplash compliment each other and it works?

I wish I could replace everything, but there is a budget!

Looking forward to hearing your input!

You can re-stain the cabinets instead of replacing them.
You can do dark gray or black countertops and then gray floors and then the backsplash can be almost anything.

Black what?

I wrote grey floor. Vinyl plank.

I don't want to restain. I don't trust the chemicals and the polyurethanes in my house.

Thank you!

Google bianco antico granite and see if it's something you might like. It has bronze and silver shiny flecks in it.

I have that flooring in wood-look and it's beautiful but my cabinets are painted white. In your case, I would go with gray floor that doens't mimic wood, and then I would match the countertop to the floor and then go with any kind of backsplash. The wood will blend in.

The link you posted actually has a pretty picture of white countertop, did you see it?

I would like a countertop that's mostly white with a little gray and silver mixed in. That type of thing. But the granite place I went to didn't have any like that. They said what I'm looking for and colors is really only available in quarts. I want Granite instead of course because it's less expensive and everyone holds that you can kasher it.

Ask your fabricator for these white and gray granite styles by name.

Not everyone holds you can kasher it. It's stone.
Quartz is cheaper than granite.

You can find what you're looking for in quartz, granite, marble, or quartzite (in order of price).

The people at the store told me granite is cheaper. The prices reflect that. I just did a Google search and a few sites I just checked say granite is cheaper

My store has cheaper granites for $35 per sq foot.

Regardless, back to my OP: would wood cabinets look out of place with white/grey/black granite, white backsplash and grey floor? Or would they blend in?

Swipe the picture until you see the white countertop with the wood cabinet. It could work if you're careful with coordinating the backsplash and floor.

Yes, inexpensive granites are cheaper than quartz. Try a different granite place. How about Kashmir White?

Thank you everyone for your advice!

I'm concerned that the granite side that looks like it would work for me is too busy to match with the backsplash that I want. I found the backsplash that is glass mosaic tile in white clear silver and gray. Can I have a busy countertop and a busy backsplash? And make sense to me that one has to be busy while the other one is solid. But I wonder if it would work since the tile backsplash is still all very light colors. What do you think?
