Put cholent up before work. Came home and realized that I forgot to turn it on. The water was cold. Can I still use the meat or should I make a new one

Was it still cold when you got back? Was the meat frozen or fresh?
If not cold anymore, I would toss it.

You put it up with us morning, just a few hrs ago? Then it’s fine. It’s not 90 degrees out, I’m sure your house wasn’t hot...
