DD's breath is quite bad. We brush her teeth religiously. Is there a treatment for bad breath in kids?

You have to figure out what's causing the bad breath. Is it a rotten egg kind of smell? How would you describe it? Very often it's related to upper respiratory congestion, which you may not even see. Post nasal drip, sinuses, etc.

She's 7 years old and had strept 1 time in her life bh. She bh does not get sick often and does not have a cold.
Its not a rotten egg kind of smell, more like a sharp morning breath that lasts all day.

When DS was 2 was and had a bad breath I thought it might be strep. His culture was negative and doc suggested it may be reflux. We gave him a common medication (4got the name) for about a month and his mouth stopped smelling.

Does her tongue have a white coating on it? If so, the bad breath is probably from thrush, which is yeast in the mouth/throat.

Another vote for check out reflux- I've had a few family members with bad breath because of it, and when the reflux was treated, the smell was gone.

Probiotics and fermented food. I had a child with this issue. Small amount of kombucha every day took away the problem (fermented tea).

Make sure she is not constipated. Often that can lead to bad breath.
A tablespoon of chlorophyll can aid for bad odor/breath. If she will agree to it. ( green liquid)
