I also learnt to add some humor into the situation. My son wanted to play with the snow after school. In the morning there was one cm of snow on the ground. He gets off the bus and starts crying how there is no snow left etc.... so instead of saying things like maybe it’ll snow tomorrow.... I told him the snow monster was very hungry and ate all the snow from the whole block. He then started laughing and repeated the joke to his sister when she came home from school.
