Yup, nothing new to see here, move along.
We live out of town and need to send our son to Mesivta next year. I just got a good look at what they expect to charge us for the year: Over $20,000, not including clothing, transportation, trip fees, etc. THIS IS INSANE!
How on earth am I supposed to come up with money like that?!? (Yes, we will try to get scholarships, but how low are they going to drop it for us?)
I found a Yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel that is less than a QUARTER of this... which means it would be cheaper to fly my son to Israel for Mesivta and bring him home for Shabbos every month.
Sorry, no solutions, just venting here.
AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!

OP, I'm so sorry you're going through this insane tuition situation. You aren't alone. I have no idea how people manage to put 5+ kids through yeshiva!

yet another reason to be so grateful we moved to Eretz Yisroel when we did.
I don't see how in the world I could have afforded tuition ever.
