Do you sift all the flour you use in recipes?
How do you store it after sifting?
I hold that all flour needs to be sifted (for bugs etc). Generally I do a bag at a time and store in the freezer until needed.
Is it ok to store in a kitchen cabinet?
Please indicate location in your answer as I'm sure it will affect the replies.

I never heard that it is required to sift flour. Have you ever actually found a bug?

In the US you don't have to. In Israel I believe it's a requirement based on infestations. Once sifted, store in an airtight container in the freezer.

Once sifted I keep it either in the fridge or freezer depending on where I have more room. I once heard but never asked myself that a day or so out of the fridge is fine but you should ask before assuming. Also the season would probably make a difference.
