New to these parts.
I just want to know demographics and socioeconomics not for living there but in order to get a sense of safety and Have a feeling for what to expect. Which ethnicities herd in which cities/areas? What’s considered city and what’s suburban?
I heard Newark has a lot of crime and gangs.
What’s west orange like? Hackensack? Teaneck? Belleville? Montclair? Tenafly? Union (city?)? Clifton? Rochelle park?
Btw where might I find an Arab market? (Would it be safe to go there?) looking for an unusual product that Arabs typically sell.

There is a store in Tenafly called Emmanuel that carries a lot of hard to find Israeli/ middle eastern products.
ETA: Kosher stores in Teaneck may carry it depending on what you are looking for.

Paterson has a large Arab population, maybe look at markets in that area.?
