For my kids I say I'm 20. They ask "no, your real age"
I'm in my 30's but look way younger than that.

Well, if the poll were constructed by year of birth it wouldn't become outdated, and new posters could add to it.

That's true! I know the years of my siblings births and have to figure out their age. The year never changes.

They still can, but you need to go through an extra step. You can figure it out by noting the date of the post.

The problem is that this poll is out of date pretty quickly. Whereas year of birth it will stay current. I would think it's pretty easy to see where your own year of birth falls, and from there see how you fit into the demographic, how many older than you & how many younger, which is likely all anyone cares about!
