a Jewish name?

I know it's Hungarian and comes from Karolina. Is it an actual Hungarian name, or is it yiddish, the way Sprintza is Esporanza but is Yiddish?

We have a similar sounding name in our family. I looked into it and the only source I can find is that it's an Eastern European name, nothing about Jewish roots or even pet form of a Jewish name.

I believe Minka was a pet name for Hermina, so I guess the same question for that name, too

I know a woman named Rinka. I wonder if it's a version of Rivka or Rebecca.

Please don't give it to an innocent baby. Her friends will tease her and you will set her up for a life of challenges.

According to my Hungarian grandmother, everyone born in Hungary had to be given a Hungarian name - and there was a list of acceptable names - which many people were known by. So it's very possible that it's a Hungarian name

You can name your baby whatever you want (within the law). Teach your children the beauty of names and about respecting that history and other individuals.

If nobody is teaching that to the other kids, that doesn't really work. Give it as a middle name and a more mainstream one for her first.
