One of my grandchildren had that a few months ago but was BH released after only a few days and only missed about a week of school. Was unable to exercise for about a month.
Hopefully your son will also have a speedy recovery!

Thank you all. I finally calmed down.
Baruch HaShem the surgery went well. His appendix did rupture in the end but they were able to clean him out . He will have to stay in the hospital for a few days. I'm hoping to get home before Shabbos. He needs to remain on IV antibiotics for now.
I have been busy with this the last 12 hours and we are finally settled in his room for the night.
Never a dull moment in the Thunderstorm household.
