Had United Healthcare but need to switch to either Fidelis or Health First. Which is better in Brooklyn or Manhattan as far as hospitals? Which covers more while travelling out of NYS?

Anyone have any experience with Health First? If your doctor would take both Fidelis or Health First which would you go with and why? Urgent because my primary care doc will no longer be accepting United Healthcare in May..

I'm very unhappy with Fidelis. They are super-annoying about everything and denied every time I needed a prior authorization on something. I would NOT recommend it. I'd rather either switch doctors and stay with UHC. BCBS healthplus and healthfirst are the best on the medicaids after united.

I had medicaid Healthfirst and I was very happy with it. I did not have any problems with it at all. It was better than the insurance I know have through my employer.

Do you have recent experience with these plans? I need to switch and don't know which one to choose.
