I just put up at 9:15am my cholent in my crockpot. I turned it on high, and poured already boiling water to help it cook faster. How long can I leave it on high without it burning? How long until it’s cooked? Can my kids eat it this afternoon? Thanx.

It doesn't need to cook on high. Cook it on low for not more than 24 hours.

Since I put it on high, can it be eaten this afternoon?
