The public has been asked to say urgent tehillim and daven for Rav Achiad Ehud ben Carmit, father of 12 from Eli in Israel, who was wounded critically in a shooting attack next to Ariel this morning (Israel time).

A 19 year old youth was also wounded seriously in the same attack, I don't have his name.

Refuah sheleimah to all the victims.
With elections coming up soon, I wonder how intense the Israeli response will be. I hope they go full out.

The 19 year old is a soldier from the same unit as Gal Kaydan hy"d who was killed.
He is in very serious condition after surgery. I don't have his name.
No change in Rav Etinger's condition. Still critical.

Rav Ettinger is still in critical condition from his severe head injury - no change reported.
Same with the wounded soldier whose name has not been published - serious condition, no change.
I want to add as background information that Rav Ettinger was not even directly at the scene of the terror attack, but when he saw what was going on, he turned around, went back and tried to neutralize the terrorist with his licensed pistol. He apparently succeeded to wound the terrorist but then got shot by him.

Beyond words. The man was a hero in his life and in his death.
He was the founder and principal of a yeshiva in south Tel Aviv - an area that has been largely abandoned and forsaken by authorities because of its intractable social problems (drugs, illegal migrant workers, crime etc.) as well as the father of 12 children.
A huge loss for his family, his community and for am Yisrael.

B"h very happy to report an improvement in the chayal's condition overnight.
He has regained consciousness, is breathing on his own and his injuries are no longer considered immediately life threatening.
Please keep up the tefilot for his complete recovery.
Besorot tovot.
