So annoyed at myself! I baked hamantaschen in a square glass dish and put it down directly on the finished wood counter of our kitchen island. Now there's a square shaped burn mark! I feel so bad because we JUST got it, it was relatively expensive, it's a great kitchen island that my husband loves, and now there's a stupid burn. I tried putting toothpaste and baking powder but it didn't work. Is there anything I can do? It's been two days. I'm hoping one of you has a good tip! Thanks so much in advance.

Yep. It's the only way.

I did something similar to my kitchen island.

And buy a nice big butcher's block or cutting board to keep on that counter so that it's available if you need to set something down.
Sorry this happened. Sad

Aw man, I was afraid it'd come to that. Thank you! At least the hamantaschen were good Smile

I had a similar thing happen, but on our table. If u figure something out please share!
