Help with my kishke

What am I doing wrong? Lately every time I add frozen KISHKE to my cholent in the crock pot, it melts and becomes mushy gook! Why isn’t it staying solid???

It becomes mushy even if you let it cook overnight? Raw thawed kishka takes about 4 hours to get solid. Frozen kishka first gets thawed & then cooks, so it needs an additional few hours.

I make my own homemade kishke / humblebrag.

Super easy and I never have this problem

If it gets submerged it gets mushy
If it sits on top it solidifys

Are you wrapping it in foil or parchment paper? If not that could be the problem.
