Don't ask someone how are you. That is triggering. I don't want to answer honestly, and if I say fine, you have turned me into a liar with your intrusive conversation.
Stop with the prying questions.
It is best to just do jazz hands and move on.

Everything can be triggering for people.
People are allowed to be nice & you do not have to answer honestly if you don't wish to. That does not turn you into a liar at all.
Asking someone how are you is not a prying question at all.
