S/O of Enneagram (married to type 9)

Op here of that thread.
Thanks for all replies.
That first night I posted, back on Sunday of this week (seems like a lifetime ago), I pretty much fell asleep at 3:30 am. Was searching for a podcast to help me sleep. Stumbled on one - aptly named ‘the sleeping at last’ podcast is hosted by this amazingly talented musical (I think) genius. And lo & behold, one of the many subjects he writes music about is the Enneagram types. He has a guest who is an ennegram expert to the max by the name of Chris Heuertz. When I heard him talk, I felt like he was talking to me. He is the author of the book the sacred enneagram. I’d love to buy his book b/c he explains so many things about people and how to understand a lot of things about why they do xyz & also how to overcome certain challenges. He isn’t jewish (obviously) but I don’t think he’s anti jewish but I think he’s catholic or buddist.
I’m very torn. Is the enneagram anti Torah? I don’t think it is. I know Miriam adahan wrote books on it but I want to read more about what Chris Heuertz has to say. Anyone here heard of him?

Ps I don’t know why this podcast was titled sleeping at last. It did not put me to sleep. I enjoyed his music immensely & soaked it up.

It's based on the ten sefiros of kabbalah.

I dont have time to go back and check but if I remember correctly;

Chochma-7
Binah-5
Daas-4
Malchus-8
Tiferes-3
Chesed-2
Gevirah- 1 or 6?
Netzach-9

I have never heard of Chris Heuertz. But the title 'sacred enneagram' scares me off, esp. since you write that he is religious. If he is simply writing about psychology it should be fine, but if he mixes his religion in, it might not be so fine. You would need to find out from someone who actually read that specific book.
In the meantime, why don't you look into other enneagram ( as far as I know there is nothing wrong with the enneagram method in and of itself) books? You mentioned that Miriam adahan has some, there is also one called 'the wisdom of the enneagram' you can look into.

I read a book which explained how each enneagram type relates to a sefirah, and how a person can use Torah to grow, based on their enneagram number. It was a fascinating read!

The book is “The Enneagram and Kabbalah - Reading Your Soul” by Rabbi Howard A. Addison.

Why wouldn't you just start with Miriam adahan's work, and get a Torah hashkafa on this from the outset? You can always get additional information after that.

I heard it a long time ago so I dont remember exactly.
I know there are 10 sefiros and only 9 Types but there's an explaination to it.
I dont have easy access to the material right now. I might check it out after Shabbos.

I once heard, I believe from the author of The Moon’s Lost Light, that the Enneagram originally came from Shlomo Hamelech.
