Hi. I need to get my son evaluated by a neurologist or neuro-psychologist, located in NY.
(5 Towns or Long Island preferred).
I have insurance so someone that accepts (empire) preferred.
I've received the names of Dr Amanda Murphy and Dr Emily Gertsch as accepting my insurance but have no info on them or recommendations for them.
This would be initial evaluation for diagnosis so I prefer someone with available appointments sooner rather than later.

Can you get to a nueropsychologist? They do a better job of diagnosing and since they don't prescribe meds, aren't biased that way.
