I try to cook ahead early in the week, at least two meals. I'm tired of the way my food tastes reheated, though. Any recipes that reheat really well? I reheat in microwave, it takes so long in oven I may as well be making fresh food.

Looking for recipes with chicken cutlets or chopped meat.

Important to note: I am sensitive to all fruit, including lemon and tomato, so I can't cook with that, unless it is an ingredient in something like duck sauce. No tomato sauce, ketchup, lemony marinades, etc. It makes it hard to use a slow cooker which is why I cook in advance.

Make a hearty soup and drop in meatballs to simmer for 30 minutes.

Taco meat with spices should reheat well.

Cutlets I'd slice and eat cold instead of reheating.

You have a recipe for a soup that pairs well with meatballs? Or taco meat?
Another caveat: I'm pregnant and can't stand cold chicken now. We usually have a huge cold chicken salad every week.

Cutlets reheated in microwave get rubbery.
Sauteed pieces of cutlet plain or with rice or veg can get reheated in pot stirring it

A regular vegetable soup. Tastes delicious with meatballs added halfway through.

For taco meat, brown 1.25 pounds ground beef; drain if not using lean meat. Add Ortega taco seasoning mix envelope (or 3 tbsp homemade taco seasoning and salt to taste). Heat until thickened, stirring often. Fill taco shells with meat mixture and your favorite toppings.

Make a stir fry or chicken chow mein. Reheat the stir fry veggies and sauce in the microwave. Add cut pieces of chicken to the stir fry and it will warm up from the heat.

Beef a Roni
Mussakka
Shepherds pie
Rice and chicken casserole
Lasagna
Eggplant Parmesan
Think casseroles, those usually heat well
A casserole, salad or soup is a complete meal.

I use Mrs Bissli's recipe as a base for meatballs in carrot sauce.
http://imamother.com/forum/vie.....+meatballs

3 jumbo carrots
1 large sweet onion
3 garlic cloves
olive oil
3 cups water
kosher salt

Process carrots, onion, and garlic in a food processor fitted with a knife (s) blade.
Saute in a pot with olive oil for 15 minutes.
Add water. Bring to a boil. Season with salt until very tasty.
Add meatballs. Bring back to a boil. Simmer 30 min.

I also bake meatballs for 25 min and top with warm mushroom sauce and serve over rice.
