Career for someone with no marketable talent or passion

That's me.
I am good at copyediting but don't see such Jobs in demand.
I love my kids and dh and am happy taking care of them but I do want to have some sort of career. I currently work in an office but don't envision being happy here long term. I want to make a difference. I'm an introvert but like people. ISFJ.
Help me please! I'm at a loss. Willing to do schooling; math and chemistry are not my strong points.
I live in Lakewood.

I think you need to think more about:
1) what you like
2) what jobs are available

Do you like: kids, computers, reading, art? How many hours are you willing to work? How much time/money, are you able to put into schooling?
What are the needs in your area? What pays a decent salary? If you are going to retrain then you better do some homework. Maybe go to a graphologist, or take some personality tests online.

How something in the publishing business or web design?
You say you are an introvert, but think what about your current office job you don't like and what not to replicate in another job.

Bump.
I should add to my op that when I posted here to find out if SLP or LCSW would be a good fit for me, I was largely discouraged from going ahead.

Any ideas? Tips?
Anyone else in the same boat?

If you were interested in LCSW what about school psychology? Don't know much about it but everyone I know that works as one is super happy. Also don't know if there is a need for any in Lakewood...

Maybe give us some more info on your likes/dislikes? You like copyediting but aren't sure there's a demand. What about it do you like? Can you think of a related field which you may be interested in?
Why are you quick to write it off as no demand? I think it has potential bec. can be done virtually.
Seems like you're also thinking about some sort of therapy. How about PT? I think there's a shortage of that (training is rigorous, I think).
Are you technical? Not sure about NJ, but in NJ there are a gazillion agencies and they are forever looking for ppl. to cover compliance and legal issues (which means lots of paperwork). This can be more than just office work because you may get to create standards and policies (which needs technical and creative skill).
Similar can be said for nursing homes--and the industry is exploding.
Am I barking up the wrong tree? Giving these ex. just because I'm thinking of the technical aspect in copyediting.

Did I say copywriting? I meant copyediting. I edit copy. I love reading so that's why I enjoy editing.
I work in an office with a lot of technical aspects and I don't enjoy it much. I'm technical when it comes to proper grammar but don't care so much about being technical elsewhere!

I do not have a BA. I have a lot of credits, and would go back to school for a good career.

Who said anything about copywriting?
LCSW is a nice choice, but find out about demand and compensation before you go into it. Especially if LCSW means something very specific to you like school guidance counselor or private practice. I don't think demand is that great so might be hard to find the right fit.

Perhaps you could work in HR? HR exists to help employees, a mix of office work and human interaction.

Would you go into education, tutoring, one on one?

DO you like art or computers? Web design, graphics, programming?

If you live in Lakewood perhaps you could reach out to Kedem in Bayonne, maybe they have open slots of something different than what you are doing.

I have no skills.
My interests are taking care of my family. That's really it. I'd love to develop skills for a career that's worthwhile and that I'd enjoy.

Tutoring: yes that sounds like something I'd be interested in but how do I develop that skill? I also might like being a reading specialist but looks like I'd need an education degree which seems more complicated than many other degrees.

You said you enjoy taking care of your family. What about it do you love? Taking care of the kids? Cooking? Cleaning/organizing? You can make money from each one.. just do it for other families. Depending on your kids age, if they're older and all in school, you could take care of someone's baby and /or toddler. You could help people organize their closets like Marie kondo Smile

you can cook for a wealthy family. You don't need a degree for any of this. And if you're good at it and people like you, word will spread!
