Hi! We are traveling to Israel for the chag and I realized one of my kids haven’t received the Hep A shot yet. I will call the pediatrician when the office opens to ask about it, but I’m just wondering if anyone knows if it’s necessary to get it before going to Israel? I did make sure all kids are up to date with the MMR, I didn’t think about Hep A tho

It can't hurt to make sure everyone is up to date.

When I was in seminary in E"Y, a girl got Hepatitis A. They came down and gave shots to the whole seminary. B"H no one else caught it.
So I would say yes, it's important.

OP here. Called pediatrician office and I was mistaken DC up to date with Hep A but not with tetanus and polio. Now how important are those Doctors office claims it is important to give now but according to the CDC travel advisory its not listed as necessary before traveling to Israel....
