My baby slept in that thing for 6 months. Thank God nothing happened.

I'm a little confused though why this is so scary. Cant they market this as a daytime seater and call it a day? Add a warning that babies shouldn't sleep in it ever and then it wont need a recall. It's such an awesome rocker. It moves around the house easily and baby can hang out all over the house with me because it's so lightweight and portable.

Cmon
32 deaths in four years. Some of these babies had existing conditions. Some were used contrary to the safety warnings.
Use your common sense. At this rate they should be banning cars, cribs, strollers, and games with small peices.

That's what I'm not understanding. If your baby isnt sleeping there what is the risk?

It's just super convenient rocker.

Also, they clearly say the kids weren't strapped in. Who leaves a baby in a rocker unattended not strapped in when they know how to roll over?

It's like the huge recall on bumbo seats. Why were they dangerous? Because foolish people left their babies in them sitting unattended on countertops. How is that the company's fault. Had the baby been on the floor nothing would have happened.
