I remember one of the Makeup artists I used for weddings using a powder to take away the shine... anybody use this? How long does it work for?

I'm a makeup artist. I use powder to minimize shine and to lock all the liquids (foundation, concealer) in place so they dont crease and nose around- my favorite is Laura mercier.
I use a brightening banana powder under the eyes to prevent creasing and to brighten the area (I love Ben nye banana powder).

Rcma setting powder is cheap and works fantastic. I have that and the laura mercier but find myself reaching for the rcma all the time.
