My normally super happy baby is never kvetchy for no reason. Yesterday he suddenly began kvetching all night. It took him from 6:30 until 11 to fall asleep, then he was up at 530. He normally sleeps from 7-7 straight.
He was acting so fussy as if something was hurting him but he can't talk so he couldn't tell me. He may have a low fever but I ran out of thermometer ear inserts so I couldn't take his temp, will get today. Strep had been going around neighborhood recently but he's not coughing, just has a bad runny nose.
I made a dr appointment which means I need to take a sick day from work.
Am I overthinking this? My logic is that at least I'll have gone to the dr so that I'm not stuck later today or tomorrow having To take him to the dr (it's easier for me to take him earlier today).
I'm just so busy with pesach prep that I can't think straight and this threw me for a loop.

For my kids this meant an ear infection. I'd go to the doctor sooner rather then later and get it over with.

Thanks. Now I feel more confident with my decision to go to the doctor.
Re flu- won't it take a few days before they get the results? He had flu earlier this season with mild symptoms and by the time we got the flu positive results, he was better already.

Almost two
Here's the thing- if I wait until tomorrow or Friday, it'll be much harder for me to get to the doctor.

Once my child had a hair tight around their toe and the doc noticed it. That's why they were so fussy. Check their whole body.

This is a good example of how every child is different
A child who never cries for no reason and if suddenly crying I would definitely take to the doctor
My children tend to run a fever with no other symptoms when they are sick

When my son was a baby his classic symptoms of ear infection were extreme fussiness and runny nose. I’d def take him! Ur making the right decision!
