So get them the new Yiddishe kop Book, in Yiddish. Number three is very new.

This would be great, but I need something for Pesach. They wouldn't let the kids play anything that the ball could go on the floor.

OP, get them some new books that came out for pesach. Chances are that they don't have these books yet. You can get a gift receipt they should be able to exchange.

I got them brain puzzles. I went to an educational store about a year ago and got the boys a bunch of them. I also got magic tricks.

Games like othello, connect four, uno, rummikub.
My boys like comics books. Try to see which ones are currently newly released before pesach, they probably don't yet have.
Card games is also a hit over here.
Do they have scooters/bikes? Now that the weather is getting nicer the boys like spending time outdoors.

Their mom doesn't like to many different kinds of building toys. I already got 3 different kinds.

I probably was not clear, but their mom asked me not to get anymore toys you can build things out of parts like magformers. They probably have kugelach. It's not so pricey.
I am thinking of a science toy, but I am not sure it's appropriate. The kids are sheltered. I don't know if the boys have science.

Sounds like these kids are loaded with toys! You are a great friend!
Agree that books sounds like a good option, go to a Jewish bookstore & ask for all the latest Yiddish books and comics.
Or check if the kids could use bikes / scooters / roller blades etc.
Another option is to take the kids out for a few hours (& give the parents a break) and take them to a toy store, giving them each $20 or so to buy wtvr they want. Since they already have all the basic toys and more -here they can each get something special for themselves plus enjoy the experience of choosing.
