I just go through all of the closets and drawers in the house and take whatever I think we’ll need. I find it less stressful than lists. But everyone’s different.

If you are traveling by car I suggest packing in 3 drawer plastic chests so that everything is organized and you don't need to unpack. With each person getting one drawer.

Same! We're fewer people but I'm sure this would be my way to do it no matter how many we were. For the super important things that I can not let myself forget I put those in a suitcase first. Then I just go around from room to room and pack up what we'll need from each room (our bedroom, kids bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, etc....).
