Got a wig a few weeks ago with a 6 month guarantee. They gave me a size small and when I said it isn’t comfortable they said it’s my size. I bought it and it was on and off uncomfortable. Kept thinking I just need to get used to it but now I finally found the tag on my other wig and I see it’s a size medium. Do you think they’ll give me a hard time with changing it?

They might but I would try my hardest (without resorting to being rude) to get an exchange.
I had similar... as a kallah the sheitel macher sold me size M wigs. They never fit properly but I had no idea that there were different cap sizes (I don't have a mom or older sister to tell me these things). Four years later when I shopped for a new wig I discovered that I need a L and it makes all the difference...
