So let me ask a question to the people who peel fruits, assuming you wouldn't eat something like strawberry ice cream? Or marmalade?

Correct.

Although many people will use without peeling if it's made before pesach.

Really? Why? If the idea is that the peels may contain chemtz, how does it help if they are made with peels before Pesach?

Most Chabad people I know who are makpid abut peeling also do not eat any processed or industrially-made foods, so they wouldn't eat store-bought ice cream anyway.

my sister makes homemade strawberry sorbet. Peels every strawberry. She doesn't use sugar either.

Before pesach chametz is nullified. So lots of people cook things before pesach they won't use on pesach. Lets say a grain of wheat fell into the sugar bag. If you cook it before pesach its nullified. On pesach not. So people will make coffee essence, sugar syrup, bake all their cakes etc before pesach. And some people will cook with unpeeled fruit or veg before pesach.

If you own the ingredients before Kol chamira the any possible chametz is nullified anyway. So how does cooking ahead help? Are you worried about not her chametz grains maybe? Ok I sort of get that (answering my own q here).

Still wondering about the weasel.
