Oh please.
Benjy Atkin has had problems with his Pesach programs from the first year he ran one in a hotel, ran out of food and got into fistfights with angry guests.
I have no sympathy for people who fall for his shtick.
Don't they have an obligation to themselves to do due diligence before spending this kind of money??
His collosal failures are not a secret.

I would not “blame the victim” we yidden are trusting people
Unfortunately it can be all too easy to be duped
While we have to do our hishtadlus all the responsibility for duping is on the duper.
I guess were not all so clued in to certain things r”l
And even in this thread there
Can be a lot
Of
Disinformation and misinformation muddying the waters
Not to mention dlkz and L”H which hopefully will not mistakenly applied confuse things any further

Disappearing owner of company….hmmmm……sounds like similar Pesach scam last year when some young crook who pretends to be frum and hangs out in the five towns ran away with over 100k. He had a “company” that delivers people’s cars and luggage to Florida for Pesach. He never paid the drivers and no-one could contact him….drivers refused To deliver.

How do you make sure you don’t get the wrong one? My kids are looking for a job at a Pesach hotel.

Also, any program in the “A Different Pesach” family (I think there are two). Last year was an epic epic EPIC disaster and I actually don’t know if they are doing it this year, but just in case.

You find out how long hotel was in business and look for ppl that attended and can tell you how it was!
Call as a potential customer and ask lots of questions!!
"Who was the caterer? Who was running the program? Who is running the daycamp? Under whose hashgacha is it?
Do they have guest speakers ? Who?"

That won’t help. One of the disastrous ones I was at, advertised a famous speaker and the he wasn’t there...
