Anyone use dr Jackson?
Was there with my daughter, he wants to extract 1 tooth and do 3 fillings.
I’m very skeptical

Get a second opinion.

Two different dentists at Ezra insist that DS' tooth needs to be extracted. They both confirm that there's no hope for the tooth. The tooth is basically gone. Any point in going for an outside another opinion?

Def go for second opinion. I did not have good experience with him. We use Dr. Gold now at Ezra and she's fantastic. My kids love her so much more.

Depends which 2 dentists they were and on your gut feeling. And if it isn't too much effort and will make you feel better go for a 2nd opinion.

Dr. Teitelbaum and Dr. Heber (not pediatric).

We had the opposite experience. We are more comfortable with Dr. Jackson.

Dr. Haber has a great bedside manner but is pretty new.

I would consult with Dr. Abitbol.
He used to practice at Ezra and has more experience and accepts insurance.

I had three kids see him last month. Only one has a cavity. My neighbors has been using him no issues

You see everyone has their own experiences. We only saw Jackson once but there were so many things that made us very uncomfortable- medically and personality- that I refused to have him see my kids again.

Re' the other 2 names I can't tell you if you should trust them or not. What I meant was you use your own experience to judge if you feel comfortable with those 2 recommending it.

All my kids at one point needed a tooth extracted. No big deal.

So did mine. The difference is that this is a permanent tooth.

I'm not familiar with Dr. Haber's knowledge to recommend extractions but he was amazing at actually extracting my son's tooth. It was infected and he did it so quick and painlessly.
So when my son needed a cavity filled because the original fell out we went to him even though he isn't pediatric. It was a nightmare. My son had terrible blisters afterwards. He was still pretty new then (it was more than a year ago) so hopefully he has improved.

Ooh a permanent tooth if it's not being extracted because of lack of space in the mouth I'd definitely go for another opinion outside the practice. I thought you were talking about a baby tooth.
