How would you spell this name?
Naming my August baby after a grandfather who went by "levi" (like the jeans I guess? Anglicized pronunciation) and I'd prefer a spelling thats not uncommon the frum world but makes it clear that its not lee-vie

My son's name is Levi (Yitzhak) - a typical 'chabad' name.
Just spell it Levi. Anything else will add confusion.
I love this name! When I was 12 weeks pregnant (before I knew I was having a boy) I had a dream that I walked into a brit and my husband approached me in a tallit and tefillin and asked "where is Levi??" - since then I knew I'd have a boy, name him Levi and have a brit on yom chol in that specific shul (all of which happened!)

I would assume that's לביא, a lion.
Popular in more modern Israeli circles.
Pronounced La-vee, emphasis on last syllable.
