I also stick to 1200 calories a day; however, I don't count raw fruits and veggies, other than avocado. So I make a big fruit salad every other day, which probably adds 500 or more calories to my daily intake, but I'm still loosing weight.

When I'm hungry, I have more fruit salad- apples, kiwis, grapes, strawberries, pineapple, blueberries. It satisfies my sweet tooth, which used to crave cake and cookies. Bonus - my kids eat the fruit salad too, since it's ever present in the fridge!

Sounds more like weight watchers than low carb. Glad its working for you!

People on truly low carb diets do not get sugar lows.

Would you agree that you also don't get to that point of feeling starving?

I do intermittent fasts almost daily. This week I did a fifty hour fast and then a forty hour one the rest of the days this week, I did 16/8. I eat when I decide I am ready. Hungry, I get. unmanageable hunger? No. Cravings? no.

I recently started a no carb diet. I eat a lot of protein for all meals and lots of veggies. I'm only eating 1200 calories per day.

I always feel hungry. Does this get easier? I don't crave specific foods, just an overall empty feeling in my stomach.

How long until you get used to it?

When you stop feeding yourself the amt of calories a small child consumes.
Hashem didn't put us on earth to starve ourselves. Not to mention it fails over 95% of the time
Check out intuitive eating. It'll change your perspective

That's fascinating. How did you reach a point that a 50 hour fast feels okay? Do you think this is specifically good only for you, or would you recommend it to others? What do you eat, when you eat? Do you drink water/tea/coffee?

Do you even notice fasting on Yom Kippur?
