Yours could be the abridged version.
What I typed out is used when making fun of how someone claims yichus or family relationship but the connection is way too complicated or diluted to really matter.

Yiddish is a language spoken by Yidden for thousands of years and therefore it is zaftig, a trait missing in English and Hebrew (I read all three languages.)
When my daughter's school put up major plays, she never failed to mention how rich the
language is, how drama in Yiddish is unlike English due to the expressions/words that are lacking in English.
This, from a girl who speaks and reads only English since she is in second grade (to everyone except children under seven.)
