we'll be taking a trip and my kids will get antsy. they like to run around and get some energy burnt off so I'm specifically looking for playgrounds somewhere on the way.
any names or recommendations?

thanks for the suggestion. that's just about 2 hours into our drive and it'll still be early morning. need something a bit further along or closer to Canada.

I don't know of a specific park, but I imagine if you look at Google Maps for Albany or Lake George, you could probably find a park near the Thruway to pull over and let them run around and play.

There are playgrounds all over! If you're taking the 81 up, Syracuse/Cortland is about halfway there, and there are plenty of fine playgrounds. Look at the map and decide about when you want to stop, and we can help find a good one for you.

Why would you take the 81 from NY to Montreal? Going via Syracuse is WAY out of the way, and the Thruway is straight, direct, and easy.
