My DS very recently experienced this (again)🤦🏼♀️. The pediatrician says 100% cotton socks and leather lined shoes alternated every other day. The podiatrist (yes, that bad) says 100% cotton socks and sneakers are okay. Clean and dry is the magic combo. Throw the shoes out. Sometimes synthetic leather can be the worst. I’ve never seen it improve with the same pair, and it’s embarrassing for them.
If it’s sweat, there’s a super aluminum liquid called Drysol to stop sweating. If it’s not as bad, spray deodorant at night after a shower before bed on the feet. The sweat can be just because or bacterial or fungal. They have regular foot powder, cooling foot powder, and anti-fungal foot powder (a foot fungus can even look like tiny red dots). My DS has had some of each over the years from various causes. He’s a super clean boy too. 🤷🏼♀️
